A former Ashanti Regional Organizer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and aspiring National Organizer, Daniel Agyenim Boateng, has called on the party's leadership to take disciplinary action against former Assin Central Member of Parliament, Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, over his recent public comments about the party.

Speaking to the media, Mr. Agyenim Boateng expressed concern about remarks allegedly made by Mr. Agyapong on Oman FM and Net 2 TV, describing them as damaging to the image, cohesion and unity of the NPP.

He argued that internal party matters should be addressed through the party's established structures rather than discussed publicly, stressing that such comments risk undermining the party's constitution and values.

According to Mr. Agyenim Boateng, Kennedy Agyapong has benefited significantly from the opportunities provided by the NPP, having risen to national prominence through the party and served in influential positions over the years.

He contrasted Mr. Agyapong's conduct with that of other long-serving party members who, despite their sacrifices and contributions, continue to respect party structures and channels for resolving grievances.

Mr. Agyenim Boateng further suggested that education plays an important role in shaping responsible public discourse, stating that individuals in leadership positions should exercise caution in their public pronouncements, particularly on sensitive party matters.

He called on the NPP's national executives to take swift action against what he described as reckless public utterances capable of harming the party's fortunes and internal unity.

According to him, the party's leadership must demonstrate its commitment to discipline and adherence to party rules by addressing the matter through the appropriate channels.

The remarks are expected to generate further debate within the NPP as discussions over party unity and internal relations continue ahead of the 2028 general elections.
