Ghana winger Ishmael Yartey suffered a horrible mouth injury in FC Sion's 2-1 win over Lausanne Sport in the Swiss Super League on Wednesday.
The 23-year-old crashed into Lausanne Sport midfielder Fabrizio Zambrella in the 33rd and was rushed to hospital for immediate medical attention.
Yartey required stitches to correct the injury and he has been ruled out of the weekend clash against FC Basel in the Super League.
Since returning to the Swiss top-flight from Sochaux, Yartey has been influential for Sion's campaign starting seven games and providing two assists.
