Newly-appointed head coach of Division One League side, Samartex FC, Kobina Amissah has rubbished reports that he is scared to coach in the Ghana Premier League.

After guiding Bibiani Gold Stars to book a Premier League qualification, the experienced gaffer has left the club.

But the former Elmina Sharks coach in an interview said he is never afraid to play in the Ghana Premier League like it is been spread having backed it with his time with Hassacas and Berekum Chelsea claiming he's already done that in previous years.

"Is not true that I'm scared to play in premier. I have done that with Hassacas even playing against Hearts of Oak, Asante Kotoko and Medeama at Essipong so I'm not afraid at all," he told Onua TV.

"At a point, I had to leave Hassacas and move to Liberia due to financial issues because my two months salary there is what I will in six months here so I decided to leave," he added.

He led Gold Stars in Zone 2 and amassed 65 points.
Coach Kobina Amissah has been outstanding in the country having qualified four teams from division one to the Ghanaian topflight. He guided Berekum Chelsea in 2009, Hassacas in 2011, Elmina Sharks in 2016 and just recently Gold Stars.
