The leader of the Kejebi Shrine in the Northern Region, Chief Naatia Salifu, has called on the youth to ensure that peace prevails in the country before, during and after the 2016 elections.
Speaking during a Sala party he organized for inmates at the Tamale orphanage home, Chief Naatia cautioned both the youth and politicians not to put the nation’s future in jeopardy, stressing that peace must be made very paramount in their campaign messages.
“The plights of the vulnerable is enough a reason for the people to tread cautiously during the heat of 2016 campaign,” he said.
He presented some assorted drinks, bags of rice, cartons of Indomie, cooking oil, biscuits and undisclosed amount of money for the home to use in catering for other critical needs of inmates.
Chief Naatia, a philanthropist has over the years supported the Tamale orphanage home in diverse ways. He used the 8th Edition of his Eidul Fitr party with the orphans to appeal to benevolent people and organizations to assist the needy in society.
On her part, the supervisor of the orphanage Madam Augustina Quainoo, expressed her appreciation to Chief Naatia Salifu for his continuous support for the inmates.
She lauded the benevolence gesture by Chief Naatia Salifu and urged him to keep assisting them.
It was recalled that, Chief Naatia Salifu for several years has organized parties during festive seasons for the orphanage.
