
Accra, Feb. 13, GNA - Unilever Ghana's revenue for the year ending 2015 grew by 26.4 per cent from GH₵410.5 million from GH₵518.7 million.
The growth was achieved due to the company's focus on operational excellence despite the difficult operating environment and intensive competitive pressure.
A statement issued in Accra by Mr Gabriel Opoku-Asare, Head of Corporate Affairs, Unilever -Ghana, said the company's operating profit for 2015 was GH₵50.7 million as against a profit of GH₵4.1 million in 2014.
It said the company also recorded profit after tax of GH₵35.7 million as compared to a loss of GH₵0.71 million in 2014.
The statement said the improved profitability was due to the strategies employed by management of the company.
It said for the outlook for 2016, the company believed that the year would pose some difficulties but management was prepared to meet the expected tougher market conditions and high volatility in the year.
