The Tiger Eye PI investigative team led by Anas Aremeyaw Anas has lauded the dismissal of 20 magistrates and Circuit court judges indicted in the judicial corruption scandal.
The Judicial Council on Monday sacked the judges accused of taking bribes to influence judgments before their courts.
The Chief Justice has hinted that the outcome of the probe into the corruption allegations leveled against some other judges and judicial service staff will be made public soon.
Lawyer for the Tiger Eye PI team Kissi Adjabeng in an interview with Morning Starrhost Nii Arday Clegg Tuesday said they are excited that justice has finally been served.
“As an investigative journalist, he is proud of his work that is his philosophy, name, shame and jail so if 20 out of the 32 have been dismissed then that is a great job”.
After a two-year painstaking investigations, journalist Anas, who operates incognito, petitioned the Chief Justice Georgina Wood to impeach the implicated judges as well as sack over a 100 Judicial Service staff who were filmed receiving bribes to influence judgments in certain cases before their courts.
