As the ruling National Democratic Congress'(NDC) is bent on retaining power come 2016 general elections, it will be very prudent for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to present a candidate who is more appealing to the entire electorates to wrestle power from the John Mahama led government.
It is in this vein that the Kairos Movement For Alan(KAMFA) is calling on Alan John Kwadwo Kyerematen to announce his candidacy for the flagbearership on the platform of the NPP as he has the charisma to win more votes for the party.
Mr Kyerematen is a selfless individual with exceptional and unique professional experiences that are unrelated.
However, he can easily transfer those experiences gained into any field depending on the job assigned to him.
For him to be nominated by Ghana for the post of WTO Director-General to succeed the out-going Director-General, Pascal Lamy and his candidature to have received the backing of the African Union (AU) although he did not make the shortlist for the final selection process in 2013 is a clear attestation of his versatility.
Owing to his submissive attitude in his political career, he has been a first runner up to Nana Akuffo Addo on two occasions in regards to the flagbearership and always accepted the results in good faith to the extent that he had to defy the norms of the party to allow Nana Addo to go unopposed during their first contest in 2007 when the latter could not achieve the fifty per cent plus one of the votes cast.
The name Alan John Kwadwo Kyerematen is a household name in Ghana and KAMFA believes if he announces his candidacy for the flagbearership slot in the NPP and eventually becomes the flagbearer, he can easily lead the party into victory in the highly anticipated 2016 general elections of which he has the edge over the incumbent president John Dramani Mahama.
The Kairos Movement For Alan(KAMFA) is a pro NPP movement in the U.K. which believes in the ideals of Alan John Kwadwo Kyerematen and thinks the time has come for Alan to lead the NPP to wrest power from the ruling NDC party as the overwhelming majority of Ghanaians are suffering due to the economic hardships in the country.
