Eleven basic school girls at Dadome in the North Tongu district of the Volta Region have become pregnant.
Stories of school girls becoming pregnant are not new, but when it involves teachers it takes a different twist.
The girls are claiming teachers at the school made them pregnant.
Joy News' Volta Regional correspondent Ivy Sertordzi reports that four of the girls have delivered, one lost the pregnancy.
Another was ordered by the teacher responsible for the pregnancy to terminate it. The rest are yet to give birth.
Meanwhile the circuit supervisor of the Ghana Education Service in charge of the school told Joy News report of the girls' pregnancies has reached him.
He said he has given a “verbal report” to the Girl Child Unity to educate the members in the community and pupils in school.
