
Madina, Sept 2, GNA - A visit by the Ghana News Agency to some of the Voter Registration Exhibition centres in Madina and Adenta in Accra indicates a low turnout.
At the Madina Zongo West Central Mosque exhibition centre No.1, 60 people had so far visited the exhibition centre as at 1430 hours.
The EC official at the centre told the GNA that 10 people could not find their names there but they later saw their names at Exhibition Centre No.2.
Three other people were given forms to fill and later present it to the District Polling Office in Madina for ratification, which will begin from 13th to 20th September 2012.
At the Madina West Central Mosque exhibition centre No.2, 13 people had visited the centre as at 1445 hours.
The Faith Baptist Community School Exhibition Centre at Madina Zongo only seven people had visited the centre when the GNA got there at 1450 hours.
Speaking to the GNA, Mr. Godwin Patamiah, the EC official at the centre said the poor attendance was as a result of poor publicity and urged the authorities to intensify the education on the exercise.
At the Madina Moral lnternational School Centre, 14 persons had visited, whilst centre No.2 had recorded 108 people as at 1500 hours.
