Samsung Electronics Africa launches 24 month warranty on its products

Accra, June 4, GNA – Samsung Electronics Africa, a leader in innovative consumer electronics technologies locally has launched an extended standard factory warranty for customers on products within its visual display.

The warranty applies to all relevant products that were purchased from Samsung's leading retail partners within Ghana and Africa.

Mr Frank Atta-Owusu, Service Manager of Samsung Electronics Ghana, announced this in Accra on Monday.

He indicated that customers would now enjoy a minimum of 24-month warranty on all Samsung products at no extra charges.

Mr Atta-Owusu said the warranty was not applicable in cases other than defects in material, design and workmanship.

He noted that the warranty was only valid with the presentation of the proof of purchase, consisting of original invoice, indicating the date of purchase, dealers name, model serial number and product number.

Mr Atta-Owusu advised customers to keep their proof of purchase safe at all times and present it at the time of making a warranty claim.

Mr George Ferreira, Vice President for Samsung Africa said: “This is an exciting initiative for Samsung and this increase in factory warranty is another way we are able to demonstrate our commitment to customer service.”

“To validate this, customers are encouraged to keep their proof of purchase and store it in a safe place as this will be required when making a warranty claim,” he noted.

He said the warranty demonstrated management's confidence in the design and performance of its products and also to reward customers.

The warranty was to ensure comprehensive service assistance in case of incidental product failure, giving customers the respect and confidence they expect.
