The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has announced a planned power outage in parts of the Accra West Region on Sunday, May 3, to allow for emergency maintenance works.
The exercise, according to the power distributor, is aimed at improving service delivery in the affected communities.
The outage is scheduled to take place from 9:00am to 5:00pm.
In a notice issued on Saturday, May 2, ECG said the maintenance will temporarily disrupt electricity supply in several areas.
“ECG will undertake emergency maintenance works to improve service delivery. This will result in a temporary outage,” the statement said.
Affected areas include Doblo, Hebron, Medie, Sarpeiman, Satellite, Macedonia, Stadium Road, Pobi Kope, Kotoku, Papase, Adeiso, Pokrom, Obuodaka, Amanfrom, Maame Dede, Asuaba, Kwesi Tenten, Danso, Coaltar, Dorkrochiwa, and surrounding communities.
“ECG regrets the inconvenience that will arise as a result of this exercise,” the company added.
