There was an atmosphere of excitement and gratitude at Osei Tutu Senior High School on Friday as the 2004 Year Group made a grand return to their alma mater with a donation of 120 dual desks, bringing much-needed relief to the school's persistent furniture shortage.

The generous intervention is expected to significantly improve classroom conditions and enhance teaching and learning for hundreds of students who have been affected by the inadequate number of desks.

The colourful presentation ceremony, held at the school's forecourt, saw members of the alumni formally hand over the desks to the Headmaster, Very Rev. Bright Yaw Osei, amid applause from staff and students.

Addressing the gathering, Chairman of the 2004 Year Group, Obrempong Yaw Atuahene Kudom, described the donation as a heartfelt expression of gratitude to the institution that moulded them into successful individuals.

He said Osei Tutu SHS gave them far more than academic knowledge. It instilled discipline, resilience and values that have become the bedrock of their achievements.

"We are simply giving back to the school that gave us a future. This is our way of appreciating the sacrifices made by our teachers and the institution.

"We are not stopping here; we will continue to support Osei Tutu SHS in every way we can," he assured.

Obrempong Kudom further pledged that the year group would remain an active partner in the school's development journey, with the vision of helping position Osei Tutu SHS among the most outstanding second-cycle institutions in Ghana.

Receiving the donation, Headmaster Very Rev. Bright Yaw Osei expressed profound appreciation to the alumni, describing the intervention as timely and transformational.

He noted that the school has been battling a serious shortage of desks due to increasing student enrolment, adding that the 120 dual desks would go a long way to easing the burden on both students and management.

According to him, the donation will provide a more comfortable learning environment, improve classroom organisation and contribute to better academic outcomes.

He commended the 2004 Year Group for demonstrating exceptional love and loyalty to their alma mater and urged other alumni groups to emulate the noble gesture.

The Headmaster concluded by praying for God's abundant blessings upon the members of the year group, expressing confidence that they would continue to prosper and champion the development of Osei Tutu Senior High School for generations to come.

The donation stands as a powerful reminder of the impact alumni can make when they remain committed to the institutions that shaped their lives, proving that true gratitude is best expressed through meaningful action.
