Ho Central NPP Communicator James Geh touts experience, eyes over 80% votes to retain position

The Ho Central Constituency Communication Officer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), James Belove Geh, has declared his intention to seek a second term in office, citing what he describes as his effective communication strategies and strong media presence in advancing the party's agenda in the constituency.

Mr. Geh made the announcement after successfully going through the party's vetting process ahead of the NPP constituency elections scheduled for July 11, 2026. He appealed to delegates to renew his mandate to continue the work he has begun.

The vetting exercise took place on Thursday, June 25, 2026.

Widely known within NPP circles in Ho Central, Mr. Geh said he has played a leading role in communicating the party's message and believes his contribution has strengthened the party's visibility and engagement with the electorate.

“I’m a strong communicator. In fact, you yourself can testify that I’m very good at communication. It’s my hobby. I love communicating,” he said while outlining his vision for the party in the constituency.

Mr. Geh pointed to his extensive media engagements as evidence of his effectiveness, noting that his commentaries and videos have attracted attention from professionals and prominent personalities across the country.

“As you can see, my videos are everywhere. The calibre of people who call me after watching is proof. Tax experts and great men and women in this country call to congratulate me and encourage me to continue the work. On communication, you can testify that I’m solid and very effective,” he stated.

According to him, one of his key priorities is to increase the NPP's electoral support in the constituency through sustained public engagement and improved party visibility.

“What do I need to do? I need to go out and market the party to the people. Our party must be visible. Right now, if you come to Ho Central, our party colours are not visible enough. That’s my responsibility,” he said.

To address the challenge, Mr. Geh disclosed that he has already begun mobilising support and resources to increase the party's visibility across the constituency.

“People are buying into the vision to support it. Very soon, you’ll start seeing our flags and colours across the constituency,” he assured.

Responding to criticism from political opponents, Mr. Geh argued that such attacks demonstrate the impact of his communication efforts.

“Who criticises me? My opponents. NDC people. Do you expect an NDC communicator or serial caller to come on a programme and say James is doing well? No. They know very well that I expose their party. As a communicator, criticism from opponents is an indication that you’re communicating well,” he said.

He stressed that his political commentary is backed by extensive research and continuous monitoring of current affairs.

“I read a lot. Our people help us. I listen to the news constantly. Anytime I get the chance, I do research, especially political news. I don’t joke with it. Those are the sources I get my facts from,” he added.

Expressing confidence ahead of the elections, Mr. Geh said feedback from delegates during his campaign engagements suggests strong support for his re-election bid.

“Any electoral area I visit, the first question delegates ask me is, ‘James Geh, who’s contesting you?’ They tell me they do not want to contest me. That should tell you they have confidence in me,” he said.

He predicted a decisive victory at the polls and appealed to delegates to support his bid.

“I can tell you confidently that I will get more than 80 per cent of the votes from our delegates. I call on delegates and appeal to their conscience to vote for me for the betterment of the party in the constituency and the region at large,” he stated.

Mr. Geh pledged to continue working to strengthen the NPP's presence in Ho Central and contribute to the party's efforts to regain political power.

“I want to assure you that I won’t put you to shame. With the confidence you have in me, I’ll do everything possible to make sure the NPP comes back to power,” he said.
