The president and his fervent supporters are tickling themselves and laughing on the false note of him having successfully performed wonders never witnessed in the annals of Ghana politics and economic emancipation. Hahahahaa.
The prices of commodities remain either the same high or have increased since his second assumption of political power.
Yes, the cedi has appreciated in value against the dollar but without making any difference in the purchasing power of the consumers. It does not in any way reflect favourably in the pockets of the Ghanaian consumers since it has not brought about the reduction of prices of goods and services.
Where President Mahama has failed significantly is his campaign promise to fight illegal small scale and alluvial mining (galamsey) if he won the 2024 general elections. He gathered some so-called educated lecturers, academics, union leaders and of course, fake pastors to lead and instigate agitations in Ghana against the President Nana Akufo-Addo and his NPP government on the note of then, and still, ongoing devastating galamsey activities.
They accused President Nana Akufo-Addo and his NPP government of actively encouraging galamsey rather than uprooting it from Ghana, knowing how inherently damaging it is to the nation. Presidential candidate John Dramani Mahama and his teeming NDC cohorts including a sizeable section of the Ghanaian media hosts and presenters, dishonest fame-seeking and opportunistic academics among whom were university lecturers, embarked a on series of public demonstrations accusing the NPP government of failure because it had not been able to successfully fight to eradicate the highly devastating but ramifying galamsey activities.
By their intentional last minute timed actions, they were courting the public anger against President Nana Akufo-Addo and his government on intent to get them voted out of power which Ghanaians indeed did in election 2024.
Then presidential candidate John Dramani Mahama, a self-confessed prone or pathological liar, assured Ghanaians that he would stop galamsey within months if he was elected to power. Nevertheless, in another breath some years ago, he had promised to support and resource these same destructive miners to expand their activities.
What do you and I see today in regard to the fight against galamsey? The writer sees galamsey activities as in the ascendancy under President John Dramani Mahama’s second coming to power. This is a big failure to him as far as discerning Ghanaians, including the writer, are concerned.
Look at how dishonestly he has dealt with Ghanaian cocoa farmers. He assured them of a hefty increment in the farmgate purchase price of their cocoa beans while accusing President Nana Akufo-Addo of stealing from the farmers.
He said President Nana Akufo-Addo should be paying them at least GHC6,000.00 instead of GHC3,100 or so they were getting and that if he came to power, he would pay them Ghc6,000.00 and over.
What is he paying the farmers now? He is paying them GHC2,587.00 or less for the same 64 kilos of standard bag of dried cocoa beans.
What about teachers and nurses? Has he been able to pay them their working salaries correctly and on time? NO!!!
He owes them several months salaries in arrears. Is this the quality of a successful leader? No and no.
Utility bills have skyrocketed, especially that of electricity yet, “dumsor”, thus, incessant power outage, has reared its monstrous head again in Ghana. Is this a mark of success? Ye NDC sycophants and liars of all sorts, please get some life into your miserable souls. No nation can successfully be built on the foundations of wobbling lies but on the principles of solid truth.
"Tell the truth and shame the devil".
President Mahama is honestly speaking a total failure through and through. He is successful only when it comes to overly enriching and empowering his brother, some of his kith and kin and practicing tribal politics where former President Nana Akufo-Addo practised “friends and family” politics/government.
The writer is yet to be pointed to the real achievements of President Mahama as he currently only sees failure whenever and wherever his name is mentioned unless the writer is blind and he cannot see.
Where are the major achievements of President Mahama that are of collective benefits to Ghanaians? The writer can’t see any yet until he is proven blind by President Mahama and his bandwagon of NDC liars, partisans, and practitioners of polarisation.
Buck up!, President Mahama, for you are currently a total failure!
