The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has reportedly suspended Stephen Sedem Deegbe, a member of the party’s communication team, following controversial remarks made during a live radio broadcast.
It would be recalled that speaking on Hot 93.9FM's morning show' Hot Morning Ride' a week ago, Stephen Sedem Deegbe expressed frustration over the low salaries received by the party’s communicators.
He asserted that party communicators in the Greater Accra Region earn less than GHC700 per month.
Sounding extremely disdainful, Stephen Deegbe openly criticised the National Communication Officer, Sammy Gyamfi, by accusing him of neglecting and discriminating against regional communicators.
Following what has been described as an "expose" on the party's internal financial structures, the NDC hierarchy has taken disciplinary action.
Sources close indicate that the suspension was triggered not just by the disclosure of alleged salary figures, but specifically by the public nature of his attacks against Sammy Gyamfi.
