As part of its 20th anniversary celebrations, the Oldtimers Executive Club, a Ghanaian social organization based in the Netherlands has donated a range of essential medical and sanitation supplies to the Koforidua Effiduase Health Centre.. .

The donation, which took place in the early days of february 2025, was made in the presence of local health officials, traditional leaders, community members, and representatives of the club. The items included, personal protective equipment, sanitation materials, essential medical supplies, chairs, and other healthcare-related items critical to the facility’s operations — all intended to improve healthcare delivery in the area.

Speaking on behalf of the club, Mr. Annor Asiedu Darkwa ( aka Zatoochi ) a leading member of the Oldtimers Executive Club, also the President of Effiduase Kroye Kuo, expressed the club’s deep appreciation for the role the community has played in their upbringing and development. He said the donation was a way of giving back and making a positive impact where it is most needed.

“As we celebrate 20 years of togetherness and growth in the Netherlands, we remain connected to our roots,” Mr. Annor Asiedu Darkwa said. “Supporting healthcare at home is one of our top priorities, and we are proud to make this modest but meaningful contribution to Effiduase.”

“This donation has come at the right time,” he remarked. “We are truly grateful to the Oldtimers Executive Club for remembering us and investing in the health of this community.”

Also present at the event were Dr Edward Asante Antwi, former MCE for the area, Mr David Yamoah, Vice President of Effiduase Kroye Kuo, Ohyeawura Boakye Yiadom, Effiduase Traditional Council, Nana Asantewaa Krobia, Queenmother Effidiase New Juaben North., They also praised the club for maintaining a strong link with their homeland despite being abroad for many years.

Founded in 20024 , the Oldtimers Executive Club has grown to become a close-knit association of Ghanaian professionals and community members residing in the Netherlands. Beyond social networking, the club is known for its commitment to charitable projects in both Ghana and the diaspora.

With this donation, the club hopes to inspire other diaspora groups to take up similar initiatives that bridge the gap between Ghana and its citizens abroad.

Last month, the club made a similar donation to the Asuboa Community Clinic in the Eastern Region. According to the club, upcoming presentations will be made to the Nkoranza-Asekye Health Post and the Asante Mampong Healthcare facility as part of a broader effort to support under-resourced medical centers across the country.
