The General Secretary of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), Justin Frimpong Koduah is optimistic about his party's retaining power after the 2024 general elections.
He believes when things are done right within the party without any mistakes it will make their dream a reality.
Some of the things the Chief Scribe wished to be done right while speaking on the Accra-based Asempa FM’s 'Ekosie sen' show today, August 11, monitored by Modernghana News, is refraining from publicly endorsing presidential and parliamentary hopefuls.
Mr Kodua revealed that the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the party and other executives who were found in such activities have vowed not to violate the party's code of ethics again.
“If we put things right as a party, breaking the 8 would be a reality. It's very possible.
“Wontumi and other senior party members have pledged not to openly campaign for any presidential hopeful. They pledged to uphold the party's code of conduct,” he said.
Mr Kodua reiterated the need for every member of the party to abide by the code of ethics. “I don't want to get to a stage of cracking the whip on defaulting party members of our code of conduct. I want us all to live in peace and harmony.”
He adds “I plead with all party members to help make our work easier. The rules of the party must be observed wholly.”
