Nigerian actress Peggy Ovire has announced that her marriage to fellow actor Frederick Leonard has officially come to an end.
The actress shared the news on social media, expressing relief that the divorce proceedings had been concluded.
“Thank you Jesus. It is done. I'm finally free,” she wrote.
Peggy and Frederick tied the knot in November 2022 after maintaining an on-and-off relationship for several years before their marriage.
Prior to the divorce, Peggy publicly alleged that Frederick had been unfaithful during their marriage, claiming he was involved with another woman. She said the alleged infidelity caused her significant emotional pain.
She also disclosed that the divorce process took longer than she had anticipated but remained resolute in seeing it through to its conclusion.
Frederick Leonard has not publicly commented on the divorce or responded to Peggy's allegations.
The announcement has since generated widespread reactions from fans and followers across social media platforms.
