Shadrach Owusu, former manager of Ghanaian musician Black Sherif, popularly known as Snap Wayne Chavis, has been arrested by the Ghana Police Service over allegations of fraud involving land and construction projects.
According to reports circulating from media outlets including CDR Africa and Gossips24, the arrest follows accusations that Snap C allegedly defrauded multiple individuals in separate investment dealings. The claims suggest that he collected substantial sums of money under the promise of facilitating land acquisition and construction projects that were never completed.
Authorities are investigating allegations that the funds involved amount to approximately $950,000 and $480,000, bringing the total suspected loss close to $1.4 million. Investigators are also examining whether the money collected from victims may have been misappropriated.
The arrest, which has since gone viral on social media, was reportedly carried out by the Ghana Police Service. A widely circulated video appears to show Snap C being taken from his residence, an incident that has sparked significant public attention and debate online.
Sources including The State News report that the incident occurred on June 11, 2026, and has since triggered widespread reactions across social media platforms, with many users expressing shock and concern over the allegations.
Investigations remain ongoing, and officials have not yet released full details regarding potential charges or court proceedings.
Snap C, a well-known figure in Ghana’s music management industry, rose to prominence during his time working with Black Sherif, one of the country’s leading music stars.
CDR Africa, Gossips24, and The State News have all reported that more updates are expected as the case develops.
