Highlife musician Fameye has revealed that his relationship with dancehall artiste Shatta Wale has become strained, despite their previously close friendship and creative collaboration.
Speaking on Joy Prime’s PrimeTime, Fameye said he has been trying unsuccessfully to reach Shatta Wale for a music feature, noting that his messages and attempts to reconnect have gone unanswered.
According to him, the two artistes once shared a strong bond, regularly communicating and even making plans to work on songs together. However, that dynamic appears to have changed.
“I need his verse badly, but he is upset with me,” Fameye said, expressing uncertainty about what may have caused the rift.
He added that he may have unknowingly said something that offended Shatta Wale, though he insists he did not act with any intention to cause harm or tension between them.
