
Nana Romeo Welewele has apologized to Shatta Wale and the Shatta Movement for his past criticisms, acknowledging that his comments may have been offensive.
During his interview with Highest Eri, he advised her to halt her banter with Shatta Wale, saying, "...no matter how you clean the pig, it will still go back to the mud."
He clarified that he never intended to hate or disrespect Shatta Wale, emphasizing that he intended to promote unity and maturity in the entertainment industry.
The apology follows a controversy surrounding a comment Nana Romeo made during an interview, where he used an analogy that was perceived as an insult towards Shatta Wale.
He has since clarified that the comment was not meant to tarnish Shatta Wale personally and apologized for the miscommunication.
Nana Romeo appealed to Shatta Wale and his fans to forgive him, acknowledging Shatta Wale's influence as one of Ghana's top musicians and expressing his desire to treat the Shatta brand with respect.
