Controversial Ghanaian musician and social media personality Showboy has made headlines again with a bitter reaction to Kofi Boat's arrest.
Showboy, who was deported from the US last year, claimed that his billionaire friends, including Kofi Boat, failed to support him after his release from prison.
He alleged that despite being a loyal friend while in US custody, he received threats on his life instead of the welcome he expected.
In a recent video, Showboy identified some individuals he believed were hiding due to the FBI's crackdown on cybercrime in Ghana.
"Pay me and I keep quiet," he said, sparking controversy and debate online.
He specifically mentioned Don Royce, claiming that Don Royce had promised to gift him a car but didn't follow through.
Showboy prophesied doom for some of his associates, hoping that the FBI's radar would fall on them.
The musician's comments come amid the FBI's operations in Ghana, which have led to the arrest of several tycoons in Accra.
Kofi Boat, believed to be the ring leader of a criminal enterprise operating out of Ghana, is a prime suspect in a $100 million fraud case. He faces charges of conspiracy to commit wire fraud and money laundering.
Showboy's stance appears to have shifted, as he now claims to be willing to keep quiet about his associates' wrongdoings if paid.
