'Tin Alley'

Well… To start with, in case you don't already know Tin Alley was formed in the inner suburbs of Melbourne – Australia when brothers Paul & Jimmy set out to form a rock band called Everything - In little over a three year period the band changed their name to Tin Alley and had recorded over 60 songs.

Sticking to their guns and having some help and advice from major managers like Dave Powell (JET) the band took their demo's into MGM HQ where they were immediately signed to a distribution deal.

In 2007, Tin Alley hit the charts with their debut single 'In Your Hands' and considering the release was backed by community stations and getting spins on stations Triple J, PBS, RRR and more the band found their way into the Top 100 on the Aria's and consecutively into the Top 20 on the AIR charts and later a cozy 13 between Sneaky Sound System and John Butler.

Although at that time things were looking up for the band, later that year things took a turn for the worse when Tin Alley had a new challenge on hand - Drummer Peter Hofbauer had a serious motorbike accident leaving him in intensive care for three weeks with internal bleeding, head damage and a severely broken clavicle.

“The circumstances of my experience had a major influence on our latest release” Hofbauer says.

“History In The Making”

At the start of 2009 Tin Alley were back and ready to pick up where they left the scene a year earlier, inspired by the real life close encounters the band spent 2 weeks with producer Stuart Stuart who has also worked with some of Australia's top acts such as the Veronicas.

With renewed focus the band recorded 5 tracks including the recently released “Out Of Control” which is a song that's dedicated to the 27 Club, “Crossing Paths” that's based on the Drummers accident and the hard hitting might of “Themz The Breaks” due out later this year ..

In late 2009 Tin Alley released their debut single "Out Of Control" and in the weeks to follow Tin Alley achieved 5 weeks straight in the ARIA top 20 Australian Singles Charts and consecutive no.1 positions on the AIR Charts and 5 weeks straight at no.1 on the AMO (Australian Music Office) Charts and later was mentioned in The Music Network as the fourth most added track to National radio.
