Asante Kotoko have loaned out striker Yakubu Mohammed to Elmina Sharks for the rest of the season, while fellow forward Sadick Adams has been sold outright to Ashantigold.
The move is borne out of the technical team's quest to improve on the quality of personnel in the playing body to increase the competitiveness in the side whilst improving on its title-winning credentials.
Yakubu Mohammed joined Kotoko in the 2016/17 season and scored 6 Premier League goals including the club's first goal of the 2016/17 season. He also recorded one assist.
The bulky striker, again, registered the Porcupines' first goal of the 2017/18 season with an equaliser at WAFA on the opening day of the Zylofon Cash Premier League.
Sadick Adams also joined Kotoko halfway last season and scored 5 goals in 9 Premier League appearances.
He made 3 appearances in the 2017 MTN FA Cup, and also recorded 5 goals including a hat-trick in the final match against archrivals, Hearts of Oak, which Kotoko won 3-1.
Though full of talent, the duo has struggled to command enough starts and playing time. Yakubu lost a bit of form, while Sadick's was a mixture of dip in form and persistent injuries.
