Koforidua, March 7, GNA - Junior High School pupils of the Koforidua Methodist Schools defeated their male teachers, 5-4 on penalties, to win the Methodist Education week football game at the Koforidua Methodist School park.
The match ended four all in regulation time, sending the game into straight penalty shootout to decide the winner.
The match formed part of activities to mark the celebration of the Methodist Education Week and was celebrated on the theme,' Upholding the Wesleyan heritage, my God, my home, my work'.
Briefing the GNA Sports on activities plan for celebration, Mr David Kwadwo Adi, Secretary of Koforidua Methodist Teachers Association, said the pupils were given a talk on the theme, during the launch of the celebration.
He said an entertainment programme, dubbed, talent show was also organised for the pupils to exhibit their talents in singing, dancing and general entertainment.
