One of the world's most famous football supporters has sadly passed away aged 60, according to reports in Brazil.
Clovis Acosta Fernandes, the moustached Brazilian who was captured cradling a replica World Cup trophy last summer, travelled the world watching the Little Canary.
Fernandes, who was also known as 'Gaucho da Copa', attended over 150 Brazil matches across 60 countries and seven World Cups.
The image of Fernandes went viral on social media last summer following Germany's shock 7-1 defeat of the host nation in the semi-final.
Fernandes was seen in tears clutching his replica trophy, as he tried to come to terms with Brazil's devastating defeat to the eventual champions.
The 'saddest man in Brazil' apparently later passed on his trophy to a German supporter, telling her: "Take it to the final! As you can see, it is not easy, but you deserve it, congratulations!"
He seemed in good health as he watched Brazil at the Copa America earlier this summer.
Fernandes left his job as a pizza restaurant owner, with the permission of his wife, to dedicate his life to following Brazil around the globe.
His death was announced by Hospital Santa Casa in Porto Alegre.
