Ghana midfielder Anthony Annan has been overwhelmingly voted as the best player for Norwegian side Rosenborg for this season.
The former Hearts of Oak player finished ahead of with sixty percent of the votes cast by fans of the league winners.
His nearest challenger striker Rade Prica, who finished second, managed to scoop only 12 percent of the votes.
The Black Stars has been the team's key player this term despite playing as a midfielder but he is quick to play down his role insisting it's a team effort.
“I've had a great season with my team-mates, coaches and managers,” Annan said after the receiving the award on Sunday night before leaving for holidays.
“Even the supporters helped us a lot to win the championship."
Annan confirmed that he will join the Black Stars for their pre-Nations Cup training camp in South Africa from 27 December.
He is keen for Ghana's success atthe tournament to be held in Angola early next month.
“I am looking forward to the tournament. This is my second participation, so Iknow how nice it is,” Annan said.
The Norway league has ended as the severe winter in the country means they are unable to playduring that time.
As such they have a different calendar from the top league of Europe like England, Spain, Franceand Germany.
