Mohammed Kudus says he cannot wait to begin his West Ham United journey after completing his move to the Premier League club.
The 23-year-old joins the Hammer on a five-year contract with an option of a sixth year from Ajax in a deal worth € 43 million fee.
Kudus arrived in London on Saturday to complete his move to the English outfit this summer.
“I’ve been dreaming of playing in a league like this since I was a kid,” said Kudus.
“I’ve been dreaming of this moment and I’m so happy to be here. But it doesn’t stop here, I want to keep going.
“I try my best to entertain the fans as I think that’s what football is all about. I’m just here to do my best and help the team. I’m really happy to be here. I will fight for the badge. I can’t wait to get started.”
Kudus joined the Dutch giants in the summer of 2020, signing a five-year deal after switching from Danish club FC Nordsjælland.
The Ghana international made 87 appearances for Ajax’s first team and scored 27 goals.
At Ajax, Kudus won the Eredivisie twice (2021 and 2022), and won the Dutch Cup once (2021).
