The family of veteran actor Taiwo Hassan, popularly known as Ogogo, has debunked viral reports that the 66-year-old actor had passed away.
The false claim spread on Tuesday after a Facebook user alleged that one of the actor's daughter, Haleemah Taiwo, had announced her father's death.
Reacting to the viral claims, Lima Taiwo took to her Instagram page, dismissing it as "false," while warning against misleading information.
She wrote:
"This is false!! This is false!!! THIS IS FAKE… PLEASE STOP SPREADING FAKE NEWS."
The Nigerian Voice recalls that the actor is currently battling stage-four cancer, and his daughters had earlier appealed for help in finding treatment for him.
