Good evening fellow Ghanaians.
What is our country turning into under this current government?
I have always been of the view that,as a nation and people we need peace and order in order to move this country forward in all aspects of human endeavours.
In light of this,it is a great and sacred responsibility on all of us as citizens to promote peace at all times especially in our utterances.
It is therefore very worrying, annoying and mind blowing the attitude of Hon Kennedy Agyapong the Member of Parliament (MP) for Assin Central as for as his utterances are concerned for a very very long period of time now.
I wouldn't just want to recalled by stating his ugly past utterances in this piece since it will linger pains in the hearts of some people but l know we are all aware and even primary school pupils are very much aware.
His utterances on several occasions as a legislature has brought serious disrepute to the Parliament of Ghana before the citizenry, our neighbouring countries and the international community as well.
As a statement of fact, many people are even still wondering why he should again continue to be in Parliament.
l am of the serious opinion that, as Ghana marks the age of 60 as a sign of maturity he will also change from making utterances that, does not promote peace and tranquility but to my surprise there he goes again.
It is therefore clear to me and really true that, one cannot teach on old dog a new trick.
He is on record today to have said that "he is prepared to end his life if the brother of the former President,Ibrahim Mahama is not jailed"
In this current days when there are huge reported cases of suicide across the country should a legislature be mentioning poison?
Interestingly,do we just stand up and jail people anyhow? Is he the one to determined the individual that must be jailed by this current government? Is he the minister responsible for whom must be jailed?l think we need answers to the questions.
He was of the view that,Mr Ibrahim Mahama engaged in various acts that have led to the country losing huge sums of money.
His statement is very very suspicious to me. Why didn't Mr Kennedy Agyapong took Mr Ibrahim Mahama to court during the rein of President Mahama?Has any law changed in the country?
l think fellow Ghanaians will be asking themselves whether our courts have changed now that, there is change in government. Is it not the same court? Is it not the same evidence he claimed he has?So why now?He should not forget he is always noted for saying he has evidence which is never produced.
Our 1992 constitution under FUNDAMENTAL Human Rights AND FREEDOMS. Clearly states that, the fundamental Human Rights and freedoms enshrined shall be respected and upheld by the Executive, Legislature and Judiciary and all other organs of government and its agencies and, where applicable to them, by all natural and legal persons in Ghana, and shall be enforceable by the Courts as provided for in this Constitution.
The comment by Hon Kennedy Agyapong clearly depicts a clear verbal assault on the fundamental Human Rights of Mr Ibrahim Mahama thereby trying to put him in some kind of fear and panic. When is he arranging Mr Ibrahim before the court? We will like to know.
He said he would take in a poisonous substance if he escapes a jail sentence during the Presidency of Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
So it shows clearly in his statement Mr Ibrahim Mahama is a target for this current government abi?
It is unfortunate this his ugly wish will not see the light of day because he is not God.
The God of Mr Ibrahim Mahama will protect and keep him safe to continue works he is doing for mother Ghana.
In the light of this Hon Kennedy Agyapong should just be ready to do what he said “I will take in poison and kill myself if Ibrahim Mahama is not jailed"
The word of God says in Proverbs 6:12-16 that,
A worthless person, a wicked man, goes about with crooked speech, winks with his eyes, signals with his feet, points with his finger, with perverted heart devises evil, continually sowing discord; therefore calamity will come upon him suddenly;in a moment he will be broken beyond healing. There are six things that the Lord hates, seven that are an abomination to him:
I will therefore buy a nice coffin for his burial if he poisons himself. Those who wish evil for others evil will surely surely befall them as the good book says.
God bless our homeland Ghana!
