'Suing me won’t gag me, what did you do for NDC to continue to keep you in office' — Bryan Buabeng fires back at Airport MD

Former presidential staffer Samuel Bryan Buabeng says he will not be cowed into silence by the suit from the managing director of the Ghana Airport Company, Yvonne Nana Afriyie Opare.

Reports in sections of the media suggest that the MD for the Ghana Airport Company has sued the political activist for defamation and is seeking GH¢10 million in damages.

But reacting to the suit in a social media post, Samuel Bryan Buabeng indicated that he will not be gagged by the courts.

According to him, he will continue to raise questions about why even cleaners, messengers, watchmen, labourers and others perceived to be affiliated with the NPP were sacked from state institutions and agencies immediately after 7 January 2025, while she remained the Managing Director of Ghana Airports Company Limited.

His post read, “Yvonne Nana Afriyie Opare, you can’t gag anyone. I will continue to raise questions about why even cleaners, messengers, watchmen, labourers and others perceived to be affiliated with the NPP were sacked from state institutions and agencies immediately after 7 January 2025, while you remained the Managing Director of Ghana Airports Company Limited.

"Given the sensitive nature of your position, this is an issue that deserves serious public discussion and should be studied in our universities. What did you do for the NDC, and what are you doing for them?”
