Retailers of Accra Brewery Limited (ABL) had an exciting experience during this year's International Beer Day celebration.
The retailers, numbering 35, who were selected from the Accra East and West Zones, were taken through the manufacturing processes of ABL to expose them to the various steps and quality standards.
The retailers were later treated to a beer appreciation time.
They also toured the company's ultramodern, multimillion dollar packaging plants inaugurated in March 2015.
The event, which was held by the Technical, Sales and Corporate Affairs Teams, was in line with one of ABL's values of being “customer and consumer focused” as a way of placing its stakeholders and partners at the heart of its operations.
International Beer Day has been celebrated annually on the first Friday in August since 2007 to bring friends together to enjoy beer as well as celebrate those responsible for brewing to unite the world under the banner of beer.
Vincent Oliver, Technical Director of ABL commended the retailers for taking part in the fun-filled but educative engagement.
“At the heart of our operations are our stakeholders and the retailers. We therefore deem it necessary as we celebrate International Beer Day to open our doors for our cherished retail partners to interact with us and understand how the beer they sell and enjoy is made,” he said.
Comfort Ashog, owner of Conash Bar at Awudome, who represented the retailers, expressed appreciation to the company for acknowledging the contributions of retailers to the success of the company.
She indicated that “the occasion was an eye-opener and a very refreshing experience which every customer and consumer should have the opportunity to be part of.
