A 38-year-old man battling substance abuse has shared a heartbreaking account of how addiction has taken a heavy toll on his life, leaving him feeling older than his years and trapped in a cycle he is struggling to break.

In a video currently circulating on social media, the man whose identity has not been disclosed was seen holding a substance in his palm, believed to be drugs, reportedly worth GH¢60. His physical appearance and emotional state in the footage have drawn concern from viewers, many of whom say he looks far older than his actual age.

Speaking candidly, the man admitted that drug use has deeply affected not only his health but also his relationships. He expressed fear that his parents may have disowned him due to his addiction, acknowledging the disappointment his actions may have caused.

“I know my parents are disappointed in me,” he said, adding that despite his strong desire to quit, he finds himself unable to do so because of the grip of addiction.
