Justice Joe Appiah
The Deputy ranking member of Works and Housing Committee of Parliament, Justice Joe Appiah, who is also the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament (MP) for Ablekuma North, is leading a nine-member delegation to Chicago, Illinois in the USA to understudy Illinois’s Real Estate Licence Act to enable members of the committee make effective input into the Real Estate Amendment Bill which is currently before parliament.
Members of the delegation are largely made up of members of the Works and Housing Committee and Lands and Forestry Commission.
The delegation will be leaving Ghana on Saturday, August 1 and will be away for 14 days after which Joe Appiah will proceed to the United Kingdom (UK) for some other businesses.
He told DAILY GUIDE that the official trip to the USA will be an eye-opener for members of the delegation as far as real estate licencing is concerned.
Hon Appiah expressed the hope that after the trip, parliament would pass a time-tested Real Estate Amendment Bill for the nation.
