I just Googled the name S-A-R-K-O-D-I-E and I found only one result which was not related to Michael Owusu Addo among the first list of results. This shows you that the name S-A-R-K-O-D-I-E appears to have become the bona fide property of the acclaimed Ghana rap god, Michael Owusu Addo. For instance, anytime you hear the name S-A-R-K-O-D-I-E anywhere, the first thing that comes to mind is the international Hiplife star who hails from Tema. In other words, the reigning king of rap music in Ghana, Michael Owusu Addo is the immediate reference to the respected Akan name S-A-R-K-O-D-I-E.

Also, let us not forget that the stage name of Michael Owusu Addo which is S-A-R-K-O-D-I-E is a strategic element of his branding as a rapper. In fact, ´´Obidiponbidi´´ chose that name to signify SUCCESS when he started rapping which he believed would certainly materialise in his music career one day. He even added that growing up as a promising rapper in Tema, he realised that every Sarkodie he knew was successful or well-to-do in life. And the power behind the name S-A-R-K-O-D-I-E has had far-reaching impact on his music career over the years. That is, he is now Ghana´s most successful rapper as the name S-A-R-K-O-D-I-E meant to him.

Moreover, the Tema-based rapper has also spiced up the name S-A-R-K-O-D-I-E with added dimensions which literally means SUCCESS. He spells the word SUCCESS whose metaphorical expression is S-A-R-K-O-D-I-E as S-A-R-K-C-E-S-S; and he shortens the most adored human name in Ghana S-A-R-K-O-D-I-E as S-A-R-K. Therefore, from all the things Michael Owusu Addo has achieved with the name S-A-R-K-O-D-I-E, we can now say that the word S-A-R-K-O-D-I-E officially means SUCCESS and GH RAP. However, I also chose the pen name S-I-R A-R-T-I-C-L-E because I believe that I would surely grow into the OVERALL BOSS of article writing soon.
