Accra, Feb 13, GNA - Funeral rites for Komla Afeke Dumor, a BBC anchor and a former presenter on Joy FM comes off from February 21 to 23, a statement in Accra has said.
The statement signed by Esther A. N. Cobbah, Chief Executive Officer of Stratcomm Africa, said a burial mass would be held for him on Friday, February 21 at the Holy Spirit Cathedral at Adabraka.
'This will immediately be followed by a public viewing the same day. This, the family believes, will enable as many people, particularly the youth of the country, to pay their last respects to him,' the statement said.
It said a liturgical service will be held on Saturday, February 22 at the forecourt of the State House to be followed by a private family burial. There will be a thanksgiving service on Sunday, February 23 at the Holy Spirit Cathedral, the statement added.
It quoted Komla's father, Prof. Ernest Dumor as saying, 'These are very sad times for the family as we send Komla to his final resting place. Komla clearly touched many lives and we remain most grateful to God Almighty for that'.
