Guwahati, June 12 : Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery Department of Gauhati Medical College Hospital (GMCH) will conduct a Coronary Artery Bypass Graft (CABG) programme on June 19-25 here, officials said.
The state health department has urged to all patients requiring bypass surgery (CABG) to report to the officers Dr. A. Raibaruah, Associate Prof. and Head of CTVS Department, Dr. A. Bhattacharjya, Prof. and Head of Cardiology Department, Dr. Abhijit Sarma, Assistant Prof. of Surgery cum Additional Superintendent for necessary admission formalities.

An official of the state health department said that, for poor patients the operation procedure will be free of cost.
'BPL card is mandatory for free treatment. For others Rs. 80,000 will be charged as package fees,' the official said.
