JCI DONATE MALARAI EUIPMENT TO ALOGBOSHEI COMMUNITY

Junior Chamber International (JCI) was created in 1946 and has since become a worldwide federation of young leaders and entrepreneurs, with more than 200.000 members and one million alumni all around the world. It is a non-profit organization with representation in over 45 countries in Europe and 120 worldwide.

JCI is a network where young people from 18 to 40 all over the world learn to take on responsibilities and develop management skills through active working on projects. This structure forms an international grassroots movement creating global impact through local action.

JCI is an international community of young active citizens who share the belief that in order to create positive change, we must take collective action to improve ourselves and the world around us. Engaging in activities ranging from sustainable development to international projects, they take responsibility from the communities while improving themselves through participation, leadership and action.

In an interview with the president of JCI ,Bismark Allegra Accra Royal chapter at Alogboshei in Achimota where the group educate the people in the community the need to eradicate malarial parasite and the prevention of malaria and other diseases.

He said as Ghana fight to achieve the Millennium Development Goals( MDGs) through the possible means as far as sanitation and eradication of malaria parasite has over the years has become rampant in most community.

He said this as part of their project called 'Nothing but Net' meaning if a one cannot contribute money to net as an organization then their tax to serve live is to contribute malarial periodic in communities.

'Malaria pandemic in Alogboshei community is on a higher grounds because of open Guters, drainage covering the community as far as static show and this has cost many live during our visit to Achimota hospital. He lamented.

AS part of the education items wealth GH 5000 was spent as their distribute mosquito net, robber backets,cups,bowls, including malaria screening which was done by Alive health Ghana.

Senator veronica Mills lamptey chairman of the Advisory board uses the platform to educate the community on how to use the Net, the need to maintain good hygiene.

She encourage citizen to register in National Health Insurance Scheme but if they seem to find financial crisis to be then the members will collaborate with district chief executives and the Assemblyman to find ways which citizen would get themselves in NHIS.
