The death is reported of Mr. William Owusu-Frempong of Ahensan Estate, Kumasi.
Mr. Owusu-Frempong's demise occurred at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital in Kumasi on Tuesday, April 2, 2013 after a short illness.
William was the son of the Late Mr. Asubonteng Frempong, former Ashanti Regional Director of the Department of Community Development (DCD) and Ms. Grace Osei, retired Headmistress of Community Development Vocational Center, Sunyani.
The Late William Owusu-Frempong was 43. Until his passing, he was the Payment Processing Officer of the Ghana Electricity Corporation in Kumasi, a position he held from 2002 till his death. He was an alumni of Opoku Ware Senior Secondary School, Kumasi and the University of Cape Coast.
He left behind a surviving widow, Mrs. Evelyn Owusu-Frempong (also known as Evelyn Kumah), a Senior Lecturer at the Christian Service University College, Kumasi, and three children.
Brothers and sisters are Dr. Eric Peprah Frempong (Moreland Surgery, Croyden, South London), Ms. Juliana Frempong (Trader, Kumasi), Mrs. Elizabeth Adusei-Bonsu, a.k.a.Naana Frempong (Registered Nurse, Ohio, USA), Kenneth Obeng-Boateng (Trader, Kumasi), Collins Baa-Frempong (Volta River Authority, Akuse), Hans Frempong (UT Bank, Sunyani), Mrs. Perpetual Frempong Sarkodie-Anto (Nurse, Sunyani), Mrs. Mabel Frempong-Boakye (Educationist, Burma Camp, Accra), and Belinda Frempong (Student, KNUST).
The others are Eric Kofi Frempong (New Jersey, USA), Frederick Frempong (Educationist, Tanoso, Sunyani), Pastor Osei Frempong (Sunyani-Fiapre), and Ms. Parathea Frempong (Trader, Tanoso, Sunyani).
William follows his younger brother, the Late Ernest Asubonteng-Frempong (a.k.a. Nana Kofi) who passed away two years ago.
Details of the funeral arrangements shall be announced later.
