Nyinase (B/A), Sept 21, GNA – Nana Adjei Baffoe, Odikro (chief) of Nyinase in the Nkoranza South Municipality, has commended the role played by the Municipal Director of Education in the establishment of a Junior High School (JHS) to promote the education in the area.
Madam Phillipa Banson is the Nkoranza Municipal Director of Education. Pupils from primary schools at Kwafre, Jerusalem and Nyinase now enroll in the JHS.
Nana Baffoe told the Ghana News Agency at Nyinase that because of the absence of a JHS in the area in the past, pupils who completed primary schools, had to move away from their relatives to access first cycle school.
He said the establishment of the JHS had alleviated parents from financial and accommodation problems and stressed the need for them to endeavour to maintain their children in the school to serve the purpose for which it was established.
Mr Dominic Sarkodie-Addo, Head-teacher of the local primary school, lauded the Assembly for constructing the six-classroom-block and furnishing it.
He expressed gratitude to Mr Marino Mulagati, an Italian Philanthropist, who is currently-based in Nkoranza for donating some computers to the school to enhance the teaching and learning of Information and Communication Technology (ICT).
Mr Sarkodie-Addo advised parents not to send their children to the farm during school hours.
Mr Akrapim Baffoe, Assemblyman for Nyinase, called on the School Management Committee (SMC) to help secure accommodation facilities for teachers who had been posted to the school.
