Electoral Commission Chairman, Dr. Kwadwo Afari-Gyan will on Thursday 26th July, 2012, be the Guest on the latest political programme on television, 'Election Platform' on Ghana Television at 9:00 p.m. to talk about 'The Inbuilt Integrity of Ghana's Electoral Process'.
The weekly programme, which began last week on Ghana's public service network is hosted by Kate Addo of the Public Affairs Department of Parliament.
The programme aims among other things to provide a platform for critical state institutions with election related mandate to share with the citizenry their programmes towards the elections and to get the relevant feedback.
It will demand accountability and inclusiveness from duty bearers with election related mandate to ensure that institutions live to their responsibilities.
The programme which is collaboration between the GJA and Ghana Broadcasting Corporation, facilitated by KAB Governance Consult and sponsored by Star-Ghana, will interrogate the manifestoes of political parties/persons that will file for the presidential elections with the view to helping the electorate to make informed decisions.
Last but not least, to promote peaceful elections by creating an avenue for civil society organizations/think tanks that have interventions to promote peaceful elections to share same with the public.
