
Cape Coast, July 17, GNA - Ebenezer Gunnell, a driver in Cape Coast was on Tuesday, fined GHȼ 240 or a month's term in prison by a Magistrate's Court in Cape Coast for reckless driving.
He pleaded guilty to reckless driving and causing harm.
Chief Inspector Samuel Obeng Addo told the court presided over by Mr Kwame Ohemeng-Mensah that on Monday, July 11 at about 19:40 hours, Gunnell who was driving an Opel Astra from University of Cape Coast old site to Kotokuraba crashed into a Toyota Prism.
He told the court that Gunnell drove carelessly resulting in the accident which occurred at Ola Madina, a suburb of Cape Coast, resulting in one passenger, Mr Samuel Kwesi Donkor sustaining minor injuries.
He said Mr Donkor was rushed to the Cape Coast Metropolitan hospital, where he was treated and discharged.
