
Accra, April 24, GNA - Accra Brewery Limited (ABL) has held an awards ceremony for its long serving employees for their commitment and loyalty to the company over the years.
In all, 34 employees were honoured and acknowledged for their invaluable services and immense contribution to the growth of the company for the past 10-40 years.
The award winners were presented with certificates and cash.
“Accra Brewery Limited is celebrating people who have over the years gone the extra mile to offer the best of their skills, talents and ideas to help achieve the company's goals,” Mr Gregory Metcalf, Managing Director of ABL said during the ceremony.
“As one of our core values at Accra Brewery, we work and win in teams, and you have been the foundation of the company's winning team," he added.
Mr Metcalf congratulated all the award winners and geared them up for more fruitful years ahead with the brewery.
Mr Victor Amedumey, Warehouse Manager of ABL, who has been with the company for the past 40 years, took away the longest serving employee award.
In his excitement, Mr Amedumey expressed sincere gratitude to the management of Accra Brewery for the award.
“I am happy to work in a company which over the years has put in place the necessary mechanisms to make working at the brewery challenging, yet comfortable,” he said.
He advised the youth to make the best of every opportunity offered them.
At the beginning of the year, Accra Brewery organised a spectacular family party for all its employees and their families, giving them the opportunity to mark and celebrate another year of hard work.
