Assin Foso (C/R), July 31, GNA- The Assin District Heads of Churches Association, in collaboration with the World Vision-Ghana (WV-G), on Thursday donated food items valued at 2.3 million cedis to Foso Saint Francis Catholic Hospital at Assin Foso in the Central Region.
They included oranges, sugarcane, bread, milk, beverages and sugar.
Very Reverend Bessa Simons of the Association, who presented the items, said the donation was the organisation's contribution towards the upkeep of the patients.
Rev. Sister Ezabel, Sister in-charge of the Hospital received the items, thanked the association for its kind gesture.
Mr Kwabena Karikari Apau, Assin District Chief Executive (DCE) who was present urged the churches to pray for peace and prosperity for the nation.
Members of the association earlier organised a clean-up exercise at the Hospital.
