Ajumako (C/R), July 31, GNA- Mr James Alex Osei, Central Regional Manager of the Catholic Education Unit, on Thursday warned that Headteachers of Catholic Schools would be held responsible for lapses in their respective schools.
They should, therefore, sit up and exercise proper supervision of their schools to enhance quality education.
Mr Osei was addressing Headteachers of Catholic schools at Ajumako in the Central Region to round off a one-week working visit to Catholic Schools in the Region.
He said reports reaching his office indicated that some of them were not performing well and asked them to turn over a new leaf. He warned them against drunkenness, laxity, and misappropriation of school funds and warned that his office would not spare any teacher found wanting.
He commended some of the Headteachers for performing creditably. The headteachers commended the Regional Manager and his team for paying regular visits to schools and asked the unit to organise refresher courses for pupil teachers to upgrade their knowledge and skills.
