
The pre-burial service of renowned play-write, Efo Kodjo Mawugbe, is currently underway at the forecourt of the State House, Accra.
Efo, as he was affectionately called, is being given a state burial in recognition of his immense contributions to the development of the culture, art and drama of the country.
The award-winning play-write died on Tuesday, September 13, 2011 at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital after a protracted battle against prostate cancer and paralysis.
Myjoyonline.com's Ernest Dela Aglanu reports dignatatires from the arts, academia as well as politicians are attending the service.
Notable amongst them are writer and poet, Professor Atukwei Okine, former Education Minister, Alex Tettey-Enyo, and Local Government Minister Samuel Ofosu Ampofo.
