Support the Unit Committees to become more functional

New Edubiase (Ash), Sept. 1, GNA – The District Chief Executive for Adansi South, Mr Benjamin Anhwere, has appealed to people in the various communities to assist the Unit Committees to make them more functional.

He said they should cooperate with members of the committees to help bring about development.

Mr Anhwere was speaking at separate durbars to inaugurate the unit committees at Wuruye, Apagya, Praso, Akotreso, Amponyase and New Edubiase.

He appealed to the members to take their roles and responsibilities seriously and to live up to expectation.

He said they should focus on helping the assembly to improve its revenue mobilization to help accelerate the pace of socio-economic progress of the District.

Mr Anhwere cautioned them not to engage in dissensions with assembly members or traditional rulers and to avoid partisan politics and ensure that they place the common good of the people ahead of their personal interests.
