Letter to Iraqis

Now we know better.
Yes, we know better now
than before we were brainwashed
by their media
that you were training
a lion fed with toxic substance
capable of destroying the human race.

Wipe your tears, clean your eyes,
because now we know better;
it was intimidation from Forest
whose intimidation was most tyranny.

Forest, with his arsenal of musketeers
took over your cities, your joy
and became a painful cough
in your throat.

Lives were lost – both sides,
but he is shamed today
that the fat lion alleged carrying toxic
was not found in any part of the glebe
but the accused tender of that lion
was murdered by a Kangaroo court
after the alleged lion tender's jurists
were killed in controversial circumstances.

Iraqis, wipe your tears, drain your tears
against that wanton destruction
of your ancestral homes, villages and towns.

Albeit, many of you wanted change
but not in the reduction of your number
as Forest meted out to you.

Rejoice now, Iraqis, you are the victor.
You have been vindicated,
no matter the brazenly dehumanization,
no matter the brazenly degradation,
no matter the brazenly divestitures,
no matter the brazenly debasement
for Forest's gains.

His sanctions, his impoverishing techniques
have only made you victorious – no lion
fed with toxic substance was found.

No matter the number
of men, women and children
who paid the supreme prize
with their lives; no matter
property that were damaged,
you are victorious.

You have to accept one another
with the a humanist's spirit,
not with a religious spirit,
because major blood-letting
in the glebe today
are caused by religiosity.

Who will speak for the motherless,
who will speak for the widow,
who will speak for the widower,
who were forcefully made to wear the title?

Iraqis, embrace peace
and abrogate peril
with sacrosanct heart
free from backbiting,
bickering and tinkering –
the Vulture has fled.


For posterity, for humanity, for love
forgive most of us, it was not our fault,
we were wrongly made to believe
that you had fat-bellied-lion
fed with toxic substance capable of
destroying the whole human race,
but now we know better,
that the proponent of this
deserves more shoe-throwing
by all who believed in humanity.
