Members of the Akim Asamama Seventh-Day Adventist (SDA) Church, last Sunday raised GHC 800.00 towards the rehabilitation of their church building.
Mr Stephen Sintim Gyimah, Project Officer of the Church, told the GNA that the rehabilitation exercise had become necessary to create room for a larger congregation.
He said plans were far advanced for the construction a mission house and for the purchase of new musical instruments, after the rehabilitation exercise was completed in June.
In another development, the Atiwa District Assembly has constructed a bridge over river Anaso to link Akim Akwaboso and Akim Asamama.
Mr Otchere Frimpong, Assembly Member for the area told the GNA that the provision of the project would facilitate the evacuation of foodstuffs to marketing centres.
