Mr Wilberforce Azumah, Headmaster of Anlo Senior High School, has appealed to old students of the school to assist in reviving the school's endowment fund established in support of brilliant but needy students.
He said the Sorkpor Endowment Fund, named after a former Headmaster who served the school for 24 years, 1963-1987, must not be allowed to fizzle out.
He was addressing a celebration marking the launch of the school's 50th anniversary, which would be climaxed in April next year.
The celebration is under the theme, "Championing Academic Excellence In Anlo Land: 50 years of Quality Education In ANSECO".
"The school administration would like to appeal to old students to revive the fund, a noble idea which should not be allowed to die out."
He said first batch of beneficiaries of the fund have completed the school and some other students were in need of similar support.
Mr Azumah also threw a challenge to the old students and the general public to come to the aid of the school to acquire additional choir robes, boots for the cadet corps, brass band musical instruments and tanks for water storage.
He said the school also needed help to fence the compound and construct access routes.
Mr Azumah said expansion and renovation works on the school's assembly hall had come to a standstill for lack of funds.
